ENJOY OUR NEW ATHLETIC FACILITIES AT NEWTON NORTH HIGH SCHOOL.

We believe the camp experience should be enjoyable for all campers from beginners to experienced players. Each camp emphasizes a strong foundation in basic skills and builds upon the challenge to develop successful players.

All camps comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and are licensed by the local board of health.

A licensed athletic trainer will be available for all camps.

Parents can review background checks, health care and discipline policies upon request. Parents must also request form for administration of meds.

DROP-OFF/PICKUP:
Drop-off and pickup at the camp site listed with individual camp description.

Full day campers will have use of the swimming pool for recreational swim.

All full day campers should bring a bathing suit and towel as well as a bag lunch and water bottle. Appropriate footwear (cleats, sneakers, or wrestling shoes.)

Outdoor campers should bring sun screen and sneakers (in case of rain.)

Full payment is due with registration. There will be a non-refundable registration fee of $100 for each camp.

An additional charge of $25.00 will be added for on-site registrations(registrations at opening day of camp.)

Purpose of camp:
QB- Proper throwing technique, warm-up, drills, footwork, 3,5,7 step drops, sprint out, taking snaps from under center, shotgun, handoffs, pitch, option, pre-snap reads, identifying defenses and defensive coverages, clock management, game management, poise under pressure, commanding the huddle, cadence, and film study/breakdown.

WR- Route running, drills, route breaks, 3-5-7 step routes, catching the ball, low balls, high balls, one handed catches, over the shoulder, in traffic, across the middle, Blocking, combination routes, how to react to a scrambling QB, 2-minute offense and getting out of bounds, recognizing coverages, defeating man to man coverage (leverage) and film study/breakdown.

The Competitive EDGE!
A comprehensive performance enhancement program consisting of strength, core and sport specific conditioning. Both traditional and nontraditional lifts are incorporated into the 8 week periodized program that will have athletes at their peak condition when the fall season starts.
All athletes will be put through a functional movement screening process prior to starting the program. This will dictate which lifts are appropriate for each athlete.
Beginners will benefit by:
• Learning proper technique on the major, sport specific lifts.
• Creating a foundation of strength to build on.
• Increased confidence.
• Increased muscle mass.
Experienced and intermediate lifters will benefit by:
• Gaining strength on the major lifts through our periodized strength-training plan.
• Increase muscular power through a progressive, sport specific, plyometric training plan.
• Reaching peak strength and conditioning levels at the beginning of the season through both our traditional and nontraditional training protocols.

Our program efficiently combines the most effective training methods of Weightlifting, Gymnastics, and High Intensity Cardio. There is not a strength and conditioning program anywhere that works with a greater diversity of tools, modalities, and drills.

The Garden City Shooting Camp will focus on improving each players shooting form. Coach Paul Connolly's expertise will provide a positive experience for each participant and an environment where players can learn, improve and have fun. The Shot Doctor will video tape each player while shooting and provide a breakdown individual analysis of their shot. If you a player who wants to develop confidence on the offensive side of the ball , elevate your game , and excel on the court,than this is the camp for you.
